Asthmatics, Allergies and Air Conditioning

Tuesday, July 8th, 2008

Many people suffer from asthma now a days and this could be attributed to having carpets rather than floor tiles or hardwood oak flooring and other home improvements such as central heating.  This is because these types of electrical appliances and home comforts not only make a good environment for a house owner they are also perfect for dust mites.  Pollutants such as car fumes and other allergens like pollen and dust mite droppings in the atmosphere trigger asthma.

Using an air purifier filters air in a room and removes allergens out of the air.  The air purifier filters cat hairs, pollen, pollution and more from the air.  These are a good method to help control conditions in a small space but without regular cleaning and ventilation they will have a small effect.
Most people know air conditioning is often found in cars and sensitive equipment that need special conditions like server room air conditioning.  You can use domestic air conditioning to help asthmatics control their illness in a better way.  Domestic air conditioning allows a constant environment to be maintained that lowers humidity, which also limits the number of dust mites and mould.  Air con machines can cost a lot to fix but as long as you have frequent air conditioning maintenance they should be alright.  If you suffer from asthma then you should think about air conditioning installation and replacing your carpet with floor tiles as it will help improve your health
